Hi.

Where can I find BIOS update for Akoya E7218 notebook (MD 98680, MSN: 30012492)?

I've searched all over the Internet, including Medion driver website, but there is none.

I've also send a request to Medion service, but didn't get any answer.

My current BIOS is American Megatrends v. 0.30, 04/26/2011.

Sorry for English, but I can't speak German. You are free to answer in German though 🙂

why do you 'need' another BIOSversion¿

any probs with your current¿

BIOSupdates do not happen very often and your machine seems to be 5 years old...

Thanks for answer.

I need BIOS update, because I want to replace my CPU for Intel Core i5 3380M (Ivy Bridge). I installed it once, but the only thing my notebook did was keeping restarting and the screen was black, so i guess BIOS update is necessary (if my chipset is compatible at all with this CPU).

just put in the old cpu and have a close look into your BIOS - if you can not reach it with the new one.

there might be some settings... (slightly doubting)

but - as you already mentioned - it might even be a prob with the chipset...

as your new CPU is quite younger than your machine 😉
